Wed. February 18 (This is really hard to type because we are in Paris and the french key board is laid out differently and it only spell checks in french so bear with me I have to hunt and peck!)
We spent the day at the tower of London. It was an all day adventure! It was cold but no rain! We took the "Beefeater" tour and it was very entertaining. We spent the day exploring the Keep with an audio tour. We saw the crown jewels, they were incredible! The crown has the largest diamond in the world it was HUGE! A little bigger than a golf ball. The royal punch bowl holds 144 bottles of wine and weighs 1/4 of a ton. It comes apart in seven peices to be cleaned! The church had lots of dead bodies: Anne Boelyn, Catherine Howard, Lady Jane Gray. Over 1000 people buried in that little church. We left the tower and went to St. Paul.s and got there in time for evansong. That is the church Princess Diana got married in. I didn't see the birds from Mary Poppins either. We sent Kat off with a suitcase full of laundry to her apt. and we found a little restaurant called Cagney's and had more fish and chips. Home to pack and regroup and off to Paris tomorrow.

So good to hear from you! I was a bit worried but then had decided you were just getting into all the "stuff" and had run out of energy to type!
