Hello from freezing Las Vegas! Man, it is cold down here! We have been on our own little Shop Hop buying lots of fabric to keep us warm! We decided that fabric shopping was a better return on our money! We have visited 3 great little quilt shops and borrowed lots of great ideas to bring home! My all time favorite Las Vegas Quilt store is "Quiltique" in Henderson. They are also the local Bernina Dealer and a 2009 top 10 quilt store. Maybe I'm a little partial because they have a summer home in Coeur d'Alene! But their store is soooooooooooooooo beautiful. We spent several hours just oooing and ahhhing over the fabric and displays. It's a must see if you come to Vegas. We traveled out to Boulder City for our second stop, a cute little shop in an historic building called "Fiddlesticks". It reminded me of our old store in the Sunset Plaza, lots of beautiful fabric and displays in a very small space, but definitely worth the trip! What a cute little town and a very friendly staff. Our next stop was clear across town to "Nancy's Quilt shop". They were a top 10 in 2007. Huge store with lots of great displays and yarn also. After that Lindsay cut us off and we had to abandon the Shop Hop! She bribed us to the Vegas Show "KA". It was a fabulous Cirque de Soliel show. We are weaseling one more Quilt Shop Stop tomorrow and then we promised her no more fabric stores! We are having a great time, and spending money as fast as we can. Patti's only down a dollar and I broke even.
