November Footloose with my Bernina

At last a class for all those great feet you own! This month we will be making these great placemats as seen in this issue of Through The Needle magazine. There are a lot of great feet used in this project. We will experiment with the Circular tool with decorative stitches as well as applique. The pintuck foot with swirls and curls for decoration. The binder foot that you make your own binding to use. You will need to cut it 1 1/8th and starch the heck out of it. You may also try the simple binder buy using premade bias tape or I did some experimenting this week. I bought the 1/2 inch clover bias tape maker made my own folded bias tape and put it through the simple binder. It came out pretty good. You will also need a small flying geese ruler by quilt in a day. The backing becomes the trim on these easy to construct placemats. Pick up a copy of Through the Needle for directions.
